The buyer and the claim

Check the legal buyer’s name and contact details. The agreement should identify your claim and the rights being transferred. Match those details with the record you intend to sell.

The actual price

Review the final document, including any changes agreed in messages. Check the amount you will receive, its currency, deductions and any conditions that could change it. Confirm how earlier or future distributions are treated. Ask about anything you do not understand before signing.

Check these before the call

Item Confirm in the agreement
Buyer and seller The legal names match the parties making the sale.
Price and payment The amount, currency, destination and payment conditions are clear.
Rights transferred The claim and treatment of distributions are identified.

The payment step

Understand the event that triggers payment and the agreed method. For FTX SELL, signing and the agreed payment take place on the video call; the agreement specifies the details for your transaction.

The documents you keep

Keep the signed purchase agreement, transfer documents and payment confirmation together. FTX SELL handles the filing after payment and covers the filing costs.

If something is unclear

Pause and ask the team to explain the clause. For advice about your legal or tax position, consult a qualified adviser in your jurisdiction.

Information to check before signing

  • Have these rights already been transferred, in whole or in part? Do the earlier documents refer to the same claim record?
  • Is there a pledge, dispute or restriction that needs to be disclosed during review?
  • Who signs the documents, and on what authority? If a representative acts or the seller is a company, first ask the team whether this situation can be considered.
  • Do the record, offer and agreement match? Are known past distributions listed?

These are questions for reviewing the particular transaction. They do not mean that FTX SELL automatically supports every type of seller or claim. Do not sign a representation that contradicts your documents.

What to clarify about obligations after receiving payment

SituationWhat to agree before signing
A new FTX notice arrivesWho should receive it, how it should be forwarded, who responds, and what deadline the notice itself states.
A subsequent distribution reaches the sellerWhich distributions the sale covers and how the agreement treats this receipt.
The buyer requests further documentsWhat assistance the agreement requires and which records should be retained.
A question arises about an earlier withdrawal or returning fundsWhich contractual provision the request relies on, what circumstances are being checked, and whether separate professional advice is needed.

Receiving payment and the end of all possible obligations are separate questions. The agreement you sign determines the specific answers. Do not assume an obligation merely because another buyer includes it. FTX SELL’s payment and filing sequence is explained in Payment and Transfer.
