What does an FTX SELL offer depend on?+
The offer reflects expected distributions and waiting time, the condition of the claim, and transaction costs. These are three separate parts of the assessment; face value alone is not enough.
The buyer considers which remaining distributions may be received and when. It takes on the wait associated with the rights purchased; future distribution amounts and dates are not guaranteed in advance.
The review covers status, amount, documents, KYC, tax steps, distributions already received and the scope of rights transferred. An unresolved dispute or unfinished steps may affect whether a purchase is possible and the terms offered.
Our costs include the court filing, a Delaware attorney and processing. The buyer bears those costs and factors them into its offer; a separate processing commission is not subsequently deducted from the agreed amount. The contract records the final amount and payment terms.
In what currency and when does FTX SELL pay?+
We pay in USDT or USDC during the video call, immediately after the documents are signed.
The sequence matters: first signing, then payment and the seller’s verification of receipt, and only afterwards filing the claim-transfer documents with the court. Under this process, the seller does not wait for the objection period to end before receiving payment.
FTX SELL does not withhold a separate processing commission or deduct it from the agreed price. The final quoted amount is the amount payable under the contract. Agree the currency, network, address and method of confirming receipt in advance.
Payment before filing does not remove every obligation of the seller: representations, exceptions and steps to address discrepancies are governed by the contract.
Is there a minimum claim size?+
We have no general minimum claim size and consider smaller claims too. This is an opportunity to enquire, not a commitment to buy every claim.
Processing costs do not fall in direct proportion to a claim’s face value. On a smaller amount, they may therefore represent a larger share of the calculation and affect the offer. Discuss the costs and terms for the specific claim; identical processing costs for any two transactions cannot be promised.
Why are no distribution service providers available in the portal?+
Available options depend on residence information and service rules. FTX lists BitGo, Kraken and Payoneer, while the provider makes the final onboarding decision.[3]
A provider appearing in the menu does not mean it has accepted you as a customer: separate onboarding follows selection. If there are no options, check current FTX information and your notices. Do not infer that funds can safely wait indefinitely; applicable deadlines and distribution-forfeiture risks must be checked separately.[3]
What should I check before agreeing?+
Check the transaction structure and documents, rather than relying only on messages. Verify the claim amount and status against official FTX/Kroll records, the transfer process against the applicable procedure, and distribution information against official notices.
We pay after signing, during the video call, before the court filing. Check this order in your contract and verify actual receipt rather than relying on a transfer screenshot.
We do not ask for an advance payment, charge no separate commission, never ask for access to your email and do not require a passport at the first step. Initial claim information and later document checks are different stages; subsequent identity verification must not be confused with handing over mailbox access.
You may decline the offer before signing. Afterwards, the contract determines the parties’ duties; saying that “all risk then passes to the buyer” does not cancel obligations the seller retains.
