Why the payout is unavailable
FTX gives no explanations by country. There are three providers, each deciding for itself, with the portal showing those that fit the residential address, and for Gabon none fits.
Gabon is the sixth and last member of the Central African monetary union on this list. The other five are Cameroon, the CAR, Chad, the Republic of the Congo and Equatorial Guinea. That the entire union ended up on the list, without a single exception, is the most striking pattern in the whole set of forty five jurisdictions.
FTX has offered no explanation for it, and we are not inventing one. But the pattern is worth naming.
I am from this country. What do I do?
- Request an offer to sell your claim. Fill in the form: country, code and contact details. There is no obligation before signing.
- Check that the claim is allowed. The claims agent runs a public search that takes an FTX Customer Code with no portal login.
- Close out identity verification and tax forms if they are open. They do not depend on a provider, and nothing works without them.
