Country list: 1 October 2026; source updated: 2 October 2026
The FTX Support list is dated 1 October 2026; the source page was updated on 2 October 2026. It does not determine your individual claim status. Check current provider guidance and your Customer Portal. Current FTX provider guidance
Algeria is included in the site’s dated snapshot of FTX provider restrictions. A country restriction does not establish an individual claim’s status or transferability. Check the recorded amount, then request an individual purchase review. FTX SELL may decline a purchase.
Why the payout is unavailable
FTX publishes no reasons by country. The mechanism is the common one: three providers, each deciding for itself, with the portal showing those that fit the residential address. For Algeria none fits.
The context here is more clear-cut than for most countries on the list. Algeria's finance law expressly prohibits the purchase, sale, use and holding of virtual currencies. This is not a regulator's guidance or a warning but a provision of law.
Whether any provider points to it specifically has not been stated publicly. We give it as the situation in the country, not as a declared reason for refusal.
Algeria is on the list next to Morocco, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt: the whole of North Africa. FTX has given no regional explanation.
I am from this country. What do I do?
- Request an offer to sell your claim. Fill in the form: country, code and contact details. There is no obligation before signing.
- Check that the claim is allowed. The claims agent runs a public search that takes an FTX Customer Code with no portal login.
- Close out identity verification and tax forms if they are open. They do not depend on a provider, and nothing works without them.
