Myanmar (Burma) is included in the site’s dated snapshot of FTX provider restrictions. A country restriction does not establish an individual claim’s status or transferability. Check the recorded amount, then request an individual purchase review. FTX SELL may decline a purchase.
Why the payout is unavailable
FTX explains no reasons by country. The mechanism is the common one: three providers, each deciding for itself, with the portal showing those that fit the residential address. For Myanmar none fits.
The situation is more difficult than for most entries. The central bank prohibited cryptocurrency operations. Since the events of 2021 some organisations and individuals have been under international restrictions. On top of that, the country is classed by the international anti money laundering body as a high risk jurisdiction, which is the strictest existing status: it calls not for enhanced checks but for special measures by financial institutions in other countries.
There have been no public statements that the providers rely on any of that. But of all the circumstances on this list, it is the weightiest.
What you can do now
Be realistic about waiting. A high risk status takes years to lift, and a provider appearing for such a jurisdiction looks less likely than for other entries on the list. We cannot promise on the providers' behalf either way, but we will not pretend all countries on the list are in the same position.

- Request an offer to sell your claim. Fill in the form: country, code and contact details. There is no obligation before signing.
- Check that the claim is allowed. The claims agent runs a public search that takes an FTX Customer Code with no portal login.
- Close out identity verification and tax forms if they are open. They do not depend on a provider, and nothing works without them.
