Why the payout is unavailable
FTX publishes no reasons by country. The mechanism is known: three providers, each deciding for itself who to onboard, with the portal showing those that fit the residential address. For Cambodia none fits.
Context: the country's central bank restricts the circulation of cryptocurrency, and no separate licensing regime for cryptocurrency services exists. Cambodia also spent several years under enhanced international monitoring for anti money laundering, and although it has come off that listing, banks and payment companies usually take time before relaxing the extra requirements.
There have been no public statements that the providers rely on any of that. We give the situation.
I am from this country. What do I do?
- Request an offer to sell your claim. Fill in the form: country, code and contact details. There is no obligation before signing.
- Check that the claim is allowed. The claims agent runs a public search that takes an FTX Customer Code with no portal login.
- Close out identity verification and tax forms if they are open. They do not depend on a provider, and nothing works without them.
