Belarus is included in the site’s dated snapshot of FTX provider restrictions. A country restriction does not establish an individual claim’s status or transferability. Check the recorded amount, then request an individual purchase review. FTX SELL may decline a purchase.
Why the payout is unavailable
FTX names no reasons country by country. The mechanism is the same: three providers, each deciding for itself who to onboard, and the portal showing whichever ones fit your residential address. For Belarus none of them fits.
The underlying reason is the same as Russia's: the sanctions regime against the Belarusian financial sector. The providers work under US rules, and none of them will take on a Belarusian resident with a Belarusian bank.
Two different things are worth separating here, because they are often confused. The claim against FTX is neither a Belarusian asset nor a sanctioned one: it is a debt owed by an American company to a private individual, created before any of the restrictions. What is restricted is not the asset but the way money reaches its owner. That is why transferring the claim to another holder goes through in the ordinary way, while a payout to a Belarusian bank does not.
I am from this country. What do I do?
- Request an offer to sell your claim. Fill in the form: country, code and contact details. There is no obligation before signing.
- Check that the claim is allowed. The claims agent runs a public search that takes an FTX Customer Code with no portal login.
- Close out identity verification and tax forms if they are open. They do not depend on a provider, and nothing works without them.
