Country list: 1 October 2026; source updated: 2 October 2026
The FTX Support list is dated 1 October 2026; the source page was updated on 2 October 2026. It does not determine your individual claim status. Check current provider guidance and your Customer Portal. Current FTX provider guidance
Western Sahara is included in the site’s dated snapshot of FTX provider restrictions. A country restriction does not establish an individual claim’s status or transferability. Check the recorded amount, then request an individual purchase review. FTX SELL may decline a purchase.
Why the payout is unavailable
The reason is not known, and this is a case where not knowing makes sense.
Western Sahara has no banking system of its own, no currency of its own and no status recognised by the international community. In practice a residential address there is served through neighbouring jurisdictions, and Morocco and Algeria, which the territory adjoins, are on the list as well.
Only the general mechanism is known. Three providers, each deciding for itself, with the portal showing those that fit the residential address. For Western Sahara none does, and FTX has given no explanation.
It is worth saying separately what this is not. Western Sahara is not one of the four jurisdictions of categorical refusal. On the list it is yellow, and we do buy claims from there.
What you can do now
Find out which residential address is recorded in your FTX portal. It may show a neighbouring jurisdiction, in which case its page is the one to read rather than this one. This is better sorted out before applying than after.
I am from this country. What do I do?
- Request an offer to sell your claim. Fill in the form: country, code and contact details. There is no obligation before signing.
- Check that the claim is allowed. The claims agent runs a public search that takes an FTX Customer Code with no portal login.
- Close out identity verification and tax forms if they are open. They do not depend on a provider, and nothing works without them.
