The FTX Support list is dated 1 October 2026; the source page was updated on 2 October 2026. It does not determine your individual claim status. Check current provider guidance and your Customer Portal. Current FTX provider guidance
China is included in the site’s dated snapshot of FTX provider restrictions. A country restriction does not establish an individual claim’s status or transferability. Check the recorded amount, then request an individual purchase review. FTX SELL may decline a purchase.
Why the payout is unavailable
FTX publishes no reasons by country. What is known is how the mechanism works: three providers, each deciding for itself who to onboard, with the portal offering those that work with the residential address on file. For mainland China none of the three does.
The context is known: since 2021 cryptocurrency operations and related services have been prohibited in China. Whether any provider ties its decision to that specifically, none of the three has said, and neither has FTX. Adding Payoneer in 2025 did not change the position, even though Payoneer operates in more than 190 countries.
It is worth knowing separately that Macao appears on the list as its own entry. It is a distinct jurisdiction, and a residential address there produces the same result as a mainland one.
What you can do now
Make sure the account email is in order. This is a separate and common difficulty for China: the address you register with a provider must match the address on file in the FTX portal. A creditor who has lost access to the old mailbox runs into this before the question of provider availability even arises.
I am from this country. What do I do?
- Request an offer to sell your claim. Fill in the form: country, code and contact details. There is no obligation before signing.
- Check that the claim is allowed. The claims agent runs a public search that takes an FTX Customer Code with no portal login.
- Close out identity verification and tax forms if they are open. They do not depend on a provider, and nothing works without them.
