Nepal is included in the site’s dated snapshot of FTX provider restrictions. A country restriction does not establish an individual claim’s status or transferability. Check the recorded amount, then request an individual purchase review. FTX SELL may decline a purchase.
Why the payout is unavailable
FTX gives no explanations by country. The mechanism is the same: three providers, each deciding for itself who to onboard, with the portal showing those that fit the residential address. For Nepal none fits.
The context here is among the most definite on the list. Nepal's central bank declared cryptocurrency operations unlawful, and the prohibition is backed by practice: people are prosecuted for such operations in the country. This is not a regulator's warning but a prohibition in force.
Whether any provider has said it relies on that specifically is not publicly known. We give the situation.
A distinction is worth understanding. The prohibition concerns cryptocurrency operations inside Nepal. A claim against FTX is a debt owed by an American company, not cryptocurrency, and transferring it to another holder happens under the procedure of a court in the United States.
I am from this country. What do I do?
- Request an offer to sell your claim. Fill in the form: country, code and contact details. There is no obligation before signing.
- Check that the claim is allowed. The claims agent runs a public search that takes an FTX Customer Code with no portal login.
- Close out identity verification and tax forms if they are open. They do not depend on a provider, and nothing works without them.
