Country list: 1 October 2026; source updated: 2 October 2026
The FTX Support list is dated 1 October 2026; the source page was updated on 2 October 2026. It does not determine your individual claim status. Check current provider guidance and your Customer Portal. Current FTX provider guidance
Lesotho is included in the site’s dated snapshot of FTX provider restrictions. A country restriction does not establish an individual claim’s status or transferability. Check the recorded amount, then request an individual purchase review. FTX SELL may decline a purchase.
Why the payout is unavailable
The reason is not known, and here it is particularly curious.
Lesotho is a state entirely surrounded by South Africa. Its currency is pegged one to one with the South African rand, the rand circulates alongside it, and the banking system is closely tied to its neighbour's.
Yet South Africa itself is not on the FTX list. So a creditor in Johannesburg can select a provider, and a creditor in Maseru, a hundred kilometres away, cannot.
FTX has offered no explanation. We note the gap rather than explain it.
What you can do now
Check which country is recorded in your FTX portal as your country of residence. Because of the close ties with South Africa it may well show that one, in which case the restriction does not apply to you at all.
That is worth finding out before deciding whether to wait or to sell.
I am from this country. What do I do?
- Request an offer to sell your claim. Fill in the form: country, code and contact details. There is no obligation before signing.
- Check that the claim is allowed. The claims agent runs a public search that takes an FTX Customer Code with no portal login.
- Close out identity verification and tax forms if they are open. They do not depend on a provider, and nothing works without them.
