Country list: 1 October 2026; source updated: 2 October 2026
The FTX Support list is dated 1 October 2026; the source page was updated on 2 October 2026. It does not determine your individual claim status. Check current provider guidance and your Customer Portal. Current FTX provider guidance
Kuwait is included in the site’s dated snapshot of FTX provider restrictions. A country restriction does not establish an individual claim’s status or transferability. Check the recorded amount, then request an individual purchase review. FTX SELL may decline a purchase.
Why the payout is unavailable
FTX gives no explanations by country. The mechanism is the common one: three providers, each deciding for itself, with the portal showing those that fit the residential address. For Kuwait none fits.
The context is known and it is stricter than for most of its neighbours on the list. The Central Bank of Kuwait prohibited virtual currency operations for licensed financial institutions, including payments, exchange and mining. So this is not a grey area but a direct prohibition inside the country.
Whether any provider ties its decision to that specifically has not been stated publicly. We give it as background.
Kuwait is not alone on the list: Iraq, Qatar and Saudi Arabia sit alongside it. FTX has published no regional explanation either.
What you can do now
If the claim is a large one, the difference between waiting and selling is worth working out on actual figures rather than a general rule. We quote for free and the quote commits you to nothing.
I am from this country. What do I do?
- Request an offer to sell your claim. Fill in the form: country, code and contact details. There is no obligation before signing.
- Check that the claim is allowed. The claims agent runs a public search that takes an FTX Customer Code with no portal login.
- Close out identity verification and tax forms if they are open. They do not depend on a provider, and nothing works without them.
